Wedding Venue Information

You will find the Grand Hotel Royal perched high up in the heart of Sorrento, a coastal town in southwestern Italy, overlooking the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. The town is famous for its sweeping sea views and Piazza Tasso, a cafe-lined square, where you can sit and watch the world go by, whilst taking in the enchanting laid-back Italian atmosphere, making it an ideal wedding destination. In this stunning location, you will see where the locals cultivate lemon and orange groves hidden among the buildings, a large part of their culture and from where they make Sorrento's famous export limoncello liqueur. Take a look at the Valle dei Mulini (Valley of the Mills), built to grind wheat into flour in the 13th century at the bottom of a 30-foot valley, which was created 35,000 years ago by a volcanic eruption. Take a 15-minute stroll around to the west of Sorrento to the fishing village of Marina Grande, a charming relaxed picturesque marine that is still a working fishing village. Witness the fishermen unloading their early morning catch, which you can sample at the many waterfront restaurants, whilst taking in the breath-taking views across the bay towards Mount Vesuvius. This charming town with its hidden gems and tiny alleyways is why it is a popular choice for a wedding in Italy.
