The first award was presented by Angeliki Avgoustinou, Vice Mayor of Zakynthos, and Lenia Mavrikou, President of the Zakynthos Villas Association, on behalf of the Municipality of Zakynthos. The award recognises The Wedding Travel Company for its “substantial contribution to the promotion and tourism development of our region.”
For more than a decade, the company has collaborated closely with local venues, suppliers, planners, and tourism partners across the island, helping position Zakynthos as one of Europe’s leading wedding destinations.
The award was presented at World Travel Market (WTM) – a global industry event that brings together ministers, tourism boards, destination partners and travel innovators from across the world each year to strengthen collaboration and shape the future of global travel.

The second award was presented by the Mayor of Protaras, Mr. George Nikolettos, recognising the company’s role in supporting tourism growth and raising the international profile of the Protaras region in Cyprus.
