Located on the gorgeous Kallithea Beach on the eastern coast of Rhodes, sits the amazing Amada Colossos, a popular wedding destination amongst people looking for an authentic wedding in an ancient land where the sunsets are golden and the sea is deep blue. Just a stone’s throw away from this magical resort is Kallithea Springs and the UNESCO-protected Medieval Old Town of Rhodes, steeped in history and oozing old Greek traditions. For instance, if you visit the Lindos & the archaeological site’s Acropolis, where you can take in the panoramic views of the Aegean Sea, whilst visiting the Doric temple dating back to the 4th century BC before wandering down the narrow alleyways of the once capital of the island. Just 3km up the road from the Amada Colossos are the Kallithea Springs, famous for its healing properties in its thermal waters, the perfect chance to enjoy a warm swim and finish of with some evening drinks.

Weddings at Amada Colossos

With weddings packages such as Summer White, Tropical Romance and Mediterranean Bliss, you know your wedding day will be romantic, relaxing and memorable. From the beach wedding where you say your vows under a gazebo whilst listening to the waves gently lapping the shore, to the Eros Hall and Omiros Hall, with all three venues giving a romantic feel. Available for a resort wedding ceremony is The Lobby when, during the daytime, it is private and the afternoon or evening when it is non private (a set-up fee is charged). The resort offers extensive menus from cocktail receptions to a champagne brunch buffet menu, with delightful cuisines and fine wines and champagnes. Tiered wedding cakes can be provided as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The Amada Colossos also boasts a spar where you and your bridesmaids can be pampered with hair and make-up. The resort also offers music for your reception and evening as well as a photographer and transport to the town hall and back where one-two months’ notice is required.

1.Where is best in Greece for my wedding?

There is lots of choice in Greece from mainland to the islands.

2.Will they speak English?

As with most locations if the officient does not speak English they will have a translator for you.

3.Is my ceremony legal?

Yes it will be legal as long as you produce the correct paperwork, depending on where in Greece you choose you may have to go to the local town hall to complete the legal part of the ceremony but the symbolic ceremony can be done in the hotel.

4.Can you book all my guests?

Yes we can, let us know who you want to come and we will get it sorted for you.

Legalities

To be able to marry in Greece you will need to be resident for between 7 and 8 days. You will require your full birth certificate and passport as well as other legal documentation depending on your previous marital status. You will require a certificate of no impediment from a solicitor. Once documentation has been obtained they must be sent to the Foreign Office to get an Apostile Stamp, All legal documentation required must be translated into Greek and legalised by the Greek Consulate. This procedure can take time so please make sure you allow plenty of time for this. All information is for guidance purposes and based on british passport holders, couples need to obtain and research there required documentation
